Axalta Coating Systems has announced that three of its knowledgeable professionals will be presenting technical sessions at the upcoming Powder Coating Show 2015 in Louisville, Kentucky. The show will be held May 6-7, at the Kentucky International Convention Center. Axalta speakers will discuss information on critical powder system components, advancements in architectural applications, and troubleshooting of powder coating systems.

Wittenhagen and John Cole of Parker Ionics will give a presentation, titled Preventative Maintenance and Troubleshooting of Powder Coating Systems. They will discuss how to ensure a functioning powder coating line and demonstrate how organizing your troubleshooting techniques can also help reduce downtime and costs. Attendees will become knowledgeable on the preventative maintenance requirements of a powder coating system and also learn application equipment troubleshooting tips.

Bill Owens, Axalta’s Southern Regional Manager, will present Building Blocks of a Powder System alongside Greg Dawson, Eastern U.S. Sales Manager from Nordson Corporation and John Sudges, Midwest Finishing Systems Inc. Regional Sales. The presentation includes a history of powder coating along with explanations of the various powder coating uses. The speakers will discuss components of a powder coating system and provide recommendations for keeping your powder coating system defect-free.

Michael Withers, Axalta Architectural Segment Leader, will present a technical session, titled Advancements in Powder Coatings for Architectural Applications. This presentation will cover recent advancements in performance characteristics of architectural powder coatings that can serve as a replacement for liquid coatings and highlight options for replacing anodized aluminum with powder coated aluminum.

The Powder Coating Show is an annual event sponsored by TPowder Coating Institute that provides powder coating industry professionals with technical and applied technology forums, as well as new product innovations and developments.
